This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Morikis Global Technology Center located at 6745 Miller Road, Brecksville, OH 44141. Responsibilities include:
Technical and Professional Knowledge * Accountable for completing lab tests, recording results, and providing feedback on results. * Has familiarity with scientific principles, products and/or processes. * Demonstrate and utilize basic knowledge of dimensional measurements, compliance within specifications and using computers/measuring equipment to analyze results. * Recognizes routine requirements and selects the proper procedures for obtaining desired results to solve problems. Project Management * Leads individual or small group projects and begins to draw conclusions * Creates and updates reports * Completes proper forms * Organizes time efficiently Communication * Seeks assistance on setting priorities for scheduling * May require coaching from supervisor or mentor
Safety and Quality * Ensures Safety, Housekeeping, and ISO practices are followed. * Maintains certification on and follows quality standards, such as Standard Operating Procedures (ITMs) * Actively seeks to reduce risk through corrective action of unsafe practices. * Correctly documents lab results and technical information and maintains results accurately per ISO standards. Basic Qualifications * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status) * High School Diploma or equivalent * 6 months of experience in a lab or manufacturing setting * Basic math skills * Knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel * Computer proficiency; Can analyze and translate scientific data/results at a basic level Preferred Qualifications * Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis * Use of calipers and other tools for validating dimensions * Basic knowledge of (or ability to learn) drawing specifications * Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel * Understands basics of CAD and product specifications
