Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as an MRI Technologist, providing top-tier imaging services with a focus on patient care and safety. In this role, you will perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures, ensuring accurate sectional anatomic images are captured. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating MRI equipment, selecting appropriate scanning protocols, and assisting licensed practitioners during procedures. You will also administer contrast media, evaluate image quality, and maintain equipment and safety standards. Patient education and support throughout the imaging process are key components of this position. Additional duties involve quality control participation, supply management, and mentoring students or other healthcare professionals. This role may require on-call availability to provide technical support outside regular hours.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from an approved School of Radiographic Technology is essential.
Experience: Prior experience as a radiographer with a solid knowledge base in MRI procedures and cross-sectional anatomy is preferred.
Requirements: Must hold state certification and be a registered technologist (R.T.(R)) with ARRT or equivalent. ARRT MRI certification (R.T.(MR)) is required at hire or must be obtained within two years. Computer proficiency and the ability to perform venipunctures are also necessary. This position emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging standards.
