About
Prepares patients for radiological imaging procedures. Assists providers during in-office procedures requiring radiography as assigned. Position x-ray equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance. Position patient on examining table and set up and adjust equipment to obtain optimum view of specific body area as requested by physician. Use beam-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff. Cleans procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits. Process exposed radiographs using film processors or computer-generated methods. Maintains radiographic supplies and orders as necessary. Ensures patient confidentiality and complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by OrthoSC Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

This position will not and may not act independently. Physical Demands Varied activities including walking, reaching, bending, lifting. Does require standing and walking for long periods of time. Assists with the transfer of patients, must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Travel Occasional travel to other OrthoSC locations may be required as needed. Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent Required qualifications
Associates degree in Radiological Technology Completion of an accredited radiology/active license (ARRT) Valid SCQRSA (SC Radiation Quality Standards Association) license
