Conduct assessments on a varied patient demographic including children, adults, and seniors using recognized assessments alongside observation. Craft individualized treatment strategies addressing both immediate challenges and long-term communication or swallowing objectives. Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including therapists, nurses, and families to ensure holistic care. Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and treatment, ensuring uninterrupted support throughout the recovery journey. Maintain diligent and precise documentation to comply with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in continuing education and peer discussions to remain at the forefront of clinical advancements. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within a month of being hired. Skills
Strong command of evidence-based practices for various age groups, along with a deep understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills to nurture relationships with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to modify therapy approaches to accommodate unique cultural and language needs.
