Preparing and organizing the operating room to assist in surgical procedures Maintaining sterile environments and following strict infection control guidelines Passing instruments and supplies to surgeons and their assistants Managing surgical equipment before, during, and after procedures Tracking supplies and ensuring the operating room is ready for each surgery Working collaboratively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical personnel to guarantee seamless patient care Keeping accurate records of surgical counts and other documentation Education Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program A high school diploma or equivalent is required Certifications Needed:
Active CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required BLS certification (or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment) Key Skills and Attributes:
