Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients, coordinating necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses either independently or in collaboration with physicians Providing education to patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and disease management Prescribing medications and treatment regimens within your scope of practice Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive, patient-centered care Accurately and thoroughly documenting within electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Washington D.C. National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain within the first 90 days) Key Skills
