X-Ray Technician Summary: Market Float X-Ray Technician provides expertise in X-Ray techniques, policies and procedures. and works hard to support the entire clinic team with both X-Ray and Medical Assistant duties. Primary Responsibilities:
As an X-Ray Technician you will perform timely and quality radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician. Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment. Perform drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests including processing specimens for reference laboratories. Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs. Works closely with the Center Administrator/Practice Supervisor, Medical Staff, Front Office Specialist and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction. Ensure occupational client's preferences followed and occupational procedures are adhered to. Cross trained for front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out on computer, and of day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release. May be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations. Works with all clinic staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and that patients receive high quality care and services. Assist with general patient care when needed. Provide staffing coverage throughout the Arizona market when needed. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Sciences. Current state X-Ray License in active status (AZ) 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver license for this position. Current First Aid/ CPR certification from recognized program (American Red Cross, etc.) required or completed within first 60 days of employment. Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion. Demonstrated excellence in customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently required to do the following:
Operate standard office equipment and input data using a computer keyboard for extended periods. Communicate clearly in person and via telephone with diverse populations. Frequently bend, squat, kneel, climb using a step stool, and twist. Lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. Sit or stand for periods of at least one hour at a time. Follow and provide verbal and written instructions accurately and with attention to detail. Vision: see details of objects at close range. Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
