Professional Development: Ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities. Position Summary Performs activities and responsibilities in the Pharmacy under direct Pharmacist Supervision. Duties exclude the direct processing and filling of prescriptions or duties restricted only to a pharmacist, pharmacist intern, or pharmacy technician. Job Requirements
Minimum Education High School diploma or GED - Preferred Certifications: Certified pharmacy technician within 6 months of hire. Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Minimum Work Experience Preferred to have experience in healthcare Essential Functions
With supervision, learns how to refill and maintain automated dispensing systems. With supervision, learns how to fill medication carts on a daily basis. With supervision, learns how to prepare medication orders. With supervision, learns how to repackage bulk medications. With supervision, learns how to sort, stock and label medications. With supervision, learns how to monitor Pharmacy inventory. Non-Essential Functions
Performs other duties as assigned or related. Maintains confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
