Pay Rate Low: 45 | Pay Rate High: 50 Histotechnician 1 year Contract - $45-50/HR Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Histotechnician to support laboratory operations through high-quality tissue preparation and staining techniques. This role is critical in ensuring accurate sample processing and supporting pathologists and research teams in a fast-paced lab environment. Key Responsibilities
Perform tissue fixation, processing, and embedding of biological specimens
Section tissue using microtomy techniques to produce high-quality slides
Conduct routine staining, special stains, and IHC/IF procedures
Perform whole slide imaging and scanning
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functionality
Follow quality control procedures and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with pathologists and research scientists on ongoing projects
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with microtomy
Experience with FFPE tissue block sectioning
Associate degree in Histotechnology or a related field
ASCP certification as Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) , or eligibility to obtain certification
Proficiency in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining techniques
