Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures Prepare, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals Calculate radioactive decay and patient study results Operate nuclear medicine cameras and auxiliary equipment per protocol Calibrate instruments and review data to detect equipment malfunction trends Maintain compliance with radiation safety regulations Start IV lines and follow proper injection procedures Monitor patients physiologically during procedures Document clinical history, symptoms, and procedure details accurately Maintain inventory and records of radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposal Submit nuclear charge tickets at close of business Maintain working knowledge of medications used in nuclear medicine Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology ARRT or NMTCB or ASCP Certification (Required) California State License (Required) American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification Ability to maintain radiation safety compliance Proficiency in IV insertion and patient monitoring Strong documentation and organizational skills
