About

Job Summary: Perform specimen receiving for laboratory specimens using LIS and HIS for order accessioning, labeling, delivery, and report preparation; assist with problem resolution and follow-up with other UH departments and referring physicians. Will also greet and assist visitors to Pathology, answer phone calls, and deliver samples to labs for testing. Will assist with processing as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree (preferably in a relevant medical field). Will consider candidates with an equivalent combination of education (to include pertinent college level courses preferably related to a medical field) and experience. Preferred Qualifications: Prior clinical laboratory experience, and NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician preferred.
