Hours Per Week: 36-hour week Hiring range: Starting at $38.50 hourly
Responsibilities: • Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. • Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. • Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning. • Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Complexity of Work: • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment: • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration: • Required Credential(s): • Registered Nurse credentialed from the New York Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. •
One or more of the following:
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. • BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Education: • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required Required Skills and Attributes:
