About

Hematology/Oncology Piedmont Oncology, Piedmont Healthcare’s newly reorganized cancer program, is recruiting a board certified/board eligible medical hematology/oncology physician for its Piedmont Newton Hospital location in Covington, GA. This position will support a rapidly growing and evolving cancer program both locally and across the 23-hospital system. This new physician will support and expand the clinical excellence aligned with discovery and innovation associated with Piedmont Oncology. The ideal BC/BE candidate will be self-motivated to excel as a clinician and work well with other providers both locally and across Piedmont Oncology. The BE/BC candidate will require a Georgia medical license. He/she must have strong communication skills and genuine compassion for the patients and the patients family/support teams. Piedmont Oncology will provide numerous opportunities to participate in and lead research and care pathway initiatives across the system. Piedmont Newton is a 107-bed acute care hospital that has provided high-quality care to the community of Covington, Georgia for more than 70 years. Through Piedmont Newton, patients have access to outpatient ancillary services and many specialists and primary care providers as well. Covington is conveniently located 35 miles east of Atlanta. It is also less than an hour away from Athens, Georgia, and Lake County.
