Job Shift:
8 Hour Days (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, M-F) Includes rotating late joint coverage (not every night) Last joint seen by 5:00 PM, out by 6:30 PM at latest No call, no weekends Not suitable for first-time travelers
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Kansas (KSBHA) required NBCOT certification preferred BLS certification required within first 90 days if not already held Epic experience preferred, not required Experience in acute care hospital setting required Comfortable with transferring patients with lines and drains, and managing acutely ill diagnoses
Expected Patient Load:
7–8 patients per 8-hour shift, building to full capacity
Patient Types:
General medicine, neuro, ortho, cardiac, respiratory, trauma, surgical, ICU, joint replacement ED patients less common
Daily Tasks:
Arrive and perform chart review Develop and execute patient care plans/evaluations Participate in 12:45 PM huddle Schedule and care for patients until approximately noon Lunch break (30 minutes) Continue patient care in the afternoon May be paired with a PT during some shifts for workflow orientation
