About
Responsible for installation, configuration, decommission and support of the customer's end user devices. Manage install team while communicating across teams and with customers and Leidos program managers/project managers. For entire projects, responsible for personnel and project management coordinate during Site installs. Assign personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work. Manage entire projects spanning multiple technical areas, working to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables. Provides primary interface with contractor support service groups. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Provides installation of and troubleshooting support for Desktops (Thin and Thick clients), printers, monitors, KVMs, phones, scanners. Ensure great cable management. Deploys a wide variety of new hardware, software, and the upgrade of existing installations. Confirm required security posture on all network equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other basic network security requirements. Prepares and maintains a wide range of documentation for processes and procedures related to computer systems and operations. Scheduling installs without interrupting business workflow. Understand, implement, and follow processes in accordance with current policies and procedures. Mentor/Lead junior team of installation technicians, as needed. May serve as a team or task lead. May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
Basic Qualifications
Must be able to work independently to be the primary customer interface, manage time effectively, prioritize problems, and reporting. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and technical teammates across multiple areas. Extensive knowledge of PC/network communications hardware/software in a multi- protocol environment. Expert knowledge of IT and network security best practices and protocols and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) – IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher).
Education:
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 2 years, Associate's with 6 years, or High School Diploma with 8 years.
Clearance:
Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required. An active TS/SCI with polygraph is required for this position or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain a poly.
Travel
Potentially up to 25% worldwide, majority in continental U.S.
