Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others. Displays competency performing procedures; follows every step for taking an x-ray (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc). Always produces high quality films. Accurately marks radiographs with R's and L's, supine and upright (if appropriate); and assures that patient information is clearly visible. Competent in one or more areas of Diagnostic Radiology (fluoro, portables, OR, Litho, ED/Trauma) Understands the interrelation and operates the various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems. Assists Imaging Support in locating films/images, loading CD's, printing reports and assisting physicians. Job RequirementsRequired
High School Graduate or GED Medical Radiographer: (MRAD:AZ) Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, (RTR) or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, (RTCT) American Heart Association Basic Life Support - AHA BLS Preferred
