About

Teacher, Classroom (Regular And Bilingual) Natividad Spanish preferred Provides an educational program for pupils. Responsible to: The site administrator. Supervises the following personnel: Plans and coordinates work of aides, teacher assistants, and other para-professionals. Major duties and responsibilities:
May teach reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, health, art, music, foreign language, and physical education, utilizing appropriate learning activities. Instructs pupils in citizenship, basic communication skills, and other general elements of the course of study specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of school district. Provides diverse learning experiences to motivate pupils. Provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil. Establishes and maintains (in cooperation with the school staff) standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, prepares progress reports, and communicates with parents on the individual pupil's progress. Identifies pupil needs and cooperates with Support Personnel in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitudinal and learning problems. Creates, with assistance from pupils, a functional and stimulating environment for learning through displays, bulletin boards and interest centers. Maintains professional competence through inservice provided by the district and/or a self-selected professional growth program. Participates with the evaluator to mutually develop the standards by which he/she will be evaluated in conformance with the district's uniform guidelines for evaluation and assessment. Performs basic attendance accounting. Selects and requisitions books, instructional aids and instructional supplies. Insures a comfortable room environment through control of heating, lighting and ventilation to the extent that is possible. Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day. Administers group standardized tests in accordance with district testing program. Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs within the school of assignment and/or on a district level.
Minimum qualifications: The appropriate teaching, administrative, or special credential as required by the State of California. Requirements/Qualifications: Appropriate Speech and Language Pathology Credential Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Letter of Intent Resume Three current letters of recommendation A $5,000** Hard-to-fill stipend will be paid to successful candidates with a Preliminary or Clear Education Specialist Instruction credential with a Mild/Moderate or Moderate Severe authorization, an Adapted Physical Education Specialist Credential, a Clear Pupil Personnel Services Credential, or a Clear Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential. **Payable in 2 installments in the 2026-2027 school year, prorated as necessary
