Veterinary Assistant Eye Care for Animals Bestgate Annapolis, MD Schedule: Full-time 5 days a week, no weekends Compensation: $17-$22/hour About You You'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including intake and discharging patients. This role will also be cross trained to assist the Client Service Representative team. The success of your patients' care matters to you, and your success matters to us. Experience & Skills Requirements:
6 months+ of animal handling experience Veterinary Assistant/Client Service experience highly preferred Understand and embrace emotional intelligence Communicate effectively and with confidence Be resilient and ready to tackle any challenges head on Have a sincere desire to help pets and their people
Role Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
Support veterinarians and Vet Techs to ensure quality veterinary care. With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow. Help Technicians with tech appointments Collect Animals for treatments and assist technicians with laboratory tests Assist with radiographs and ultrasounds Walk, feed, water, and give medications to patients as directed by the DVM Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems. Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
