About
Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using a combination of standardized assessments and observational strategies. Create individualized treatment plans that consider both immediate and long-term objectives for communication, cognitive challenges, or swallowing disorders. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that focus on aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing ability. Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise integrated care strategies. Provide education for patients and families to further support progress outside of clinical settings. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy, ensuring a smooth treatment continuum. Keep precise and timely records in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay updated on innovations in the field through continuous learning and collaboration with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if AAHA certification is not yet achieved. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
