About
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, request necessary diagnostic tests, and create individualized treatment plans. Diagnose and address acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, collaborating with physicians or independently as credentialing allows. Provide education to patients and their families on preventive care, wellness strategies, and disease management. Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with your scope of practice. Engage in patient follow-up and chronic disease management. Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to provide cohesive, holistic care. Accurately document patient information within electronic medical records (EMR). Essential Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Mandatory Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Hawaii. National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to procure these within 90 days). Key Skills for Success
