Conduct evaluations for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings while crafting tailored treatment plans Implement physical therapy techniques that enhance mobility, endurance, balance, and overall function Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to maximize outcomes Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic goals, discharge strategies, and home exercises Maintain meticulous documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress per facility and regulatory standards Engage in multidisciplinary team rounds and conferences for coordinated patient care Education
A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a similarly accredited degree Certifications
State licensure as a Physical Therapist Preferably CPR certified Additional certifications in specialized fields (e.g., neurological or geriatric therapy) are advantageous but not mandatory Skills
Prior experience is highly regarded Able to treat patients facing intricate medical and mobility challenges Strong communication and teamwork capabilities Proficient with digital charting and clinical documentation systems Benefits
