Facilitating surgical procedures by preparing and organizing the operating room Ensuring sterile fields are maintained, adhering strictly to infection control standards Assisting surgeons and surgical assistants by passing instruments and supplies Preparing and managing surgical equipment throughout each procedure Monitoring inventory and ensuring the operating room is fully ready for each operation Working collaboratively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to provide comprehensive care Maintaining accurate surgical counts and documentation for every procedure Educational Prerequisites:
Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program High school diploma or equivalent necessary Certifications Required:
Valid CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential mandatory Current BLS certification (or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment) Essential Skills and Attributes:
