Caring for patients post-surgery and ensuring their stability and comfort. Assessing incision sites and monitoring vital signs and indicators of complications. Demonstrating critical thinking and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. Utilizing medical equipment such as Meditech, PCA Pumps, and Bair PAWS Warmers.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a critical care RN (ER or ICU may be accepted as a substitute for PACU experience). Valid BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association. Must hold a valid professional license within the state of practice. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential is recommended and may be required for specific positions. Additional specialty-related certifications (e.g., NIHSS & TNCC) are preferred.
Schedule Shifts may vary between 8, 10, and 12 hours and can include Days, Evenings, Nights, and Weekends/Holidays. Candidates should note that there is no guarantee of hours or shift preferences.
