Description
Deliver thorough evaluations to pediatric, adult, and elderly populations through standardized assessments and observational strategies. Craft individualized treatment plans that fulfill immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Conduct focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities. Work in harmony with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care approaches. Educate patients and families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions. Perform occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless care experience throughout the treatment continuum. Keep accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in continued professional education and foster collaborative relationships with peers to stay abreast of industry advancements. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. National Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills
Mastery of evidence-based approaches for all age groups, coupled with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication abilities that facilitate interactions with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Capability to adjust therapy methods for diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical insight and problem-solving skills are essential.
