The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, and support to production builds, and lifecycle support of Raytheon products.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Principal RF Design Engineer who is seeking to utilize their academic background and professional experience in RF / Microwave system theory and design to help develop the next generation of Raytheons Radar Receiver, Exciter, and Transmitter products.
Architecture development, requirements analysis, hardware design, hands-on testing of components, circuit card assemblies, and subsystems.
Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters.
Design and optimization of RF circuits – either chains of components (receiver, exciter, etc.) or individual parts (filters, limiters, couplers, etc.).
Working with interdisciplinary teams – power, digital, mechanical, etc.
Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities.
Cost and schedule management plus proposal writing.
This 1st shift position will be 100% on-site & based in either Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA, with travel between multiple MA sites anticipated.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.

Experience translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications.
Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, which includes yield and margin analysis.

Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning
Filter design and fabrication
Circuit card assembly and fabrication
High speed data converter test / characterization
Low Noise RF source design and test experience
