Data Analyst 2
The DA 2 will support the Bureau of Staffing Operations and Support in the Office of Health Insurance Programs (OHIP). Key responsibilities include: Compile and analyze personnel and non-personnel cost allocation data to support federal claiming, reporting, and audits. Ensure accuracy by validating against contracts, invoices, payroll, and TDS data, and applying established allocation methodologies; Prepare summaries and documentation for reporting and management review, maintain audit-ready records, and document findings and assumptions. Research CMS guidance and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve data issues and support federal submissions; Provide technical assistance, support APD development, and recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Minimum Qualifications: Seven years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools. Substitution: An associate's degree may substitute for two years of general experience; or a bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of general experience. A master's degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, may substitute for one year of general experience; or a Ph.D. in these fields may substitute for two years of general experience. Preferred Qualifications: Strong excel and data analysis skills; experience with cost allocation preferred; experience analyzing financial, payroll or administrative data for reporting purposes.
