POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Located in the heart of the new Solar district in Brossard, Jazz Brossard is delighted to welcome a wonderful clientele, both independent and those experiencing a loss of autonomy. A warm and welcoming atmosphere prevails, where we feel right at home. We are currently seeking an empathetic and caring Resident Care Attendant. The Resident Care Attendant ensures the comfort, well-being, safety, and general needs of residents by providing hygiene and comfort care. This is a permanent, full-time position, 36 hours per week, evenings and nights from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM or midnight to 8:00 AM, as well as weekends.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
  • Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
  • Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
  • In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
  • Proactively assist and support the residents
  • Respond to all emergency situations
  • While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
  • PDSB training
  • Skill 7
  • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
  • Good team player
  • Good sense of interpersonal communication
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
