Phlebotomist

Pay Range: $16.80hr - $21.80hr

Requirement/Must Have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy and specimen collection skills required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills required.
  • Reliable transportation and valid drivers license required, if applicable.
  • Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, overtime, and travel between locations required.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen processing activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper specimen labeling in the presence of the patient.
  • Maintain required records and documentation accurately.
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and dress code standards.
  • Support multiple Patient Service Center and In-Office Phlebotomy locations as needed.
  • Handle multiple priorities effectively in a high-volume environment.
Should Have:
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Minimum two years of Patient Service Center experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Organizational and multitasking skills required.
  • Ability to make decisions using established procedures and sound judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Superior customer service focus required.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data entry and computer skills required.
Qualification and Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
