Key Responsibilities Review contract requirements, client technical specifications, sales package and all design data.
Conduct mechanical calculations, prepare design details, generate fabrication drawings and bills of materials, analyze foundation loading, execute code calculations, and create instruction manuals.
Develop required general arrangement drawings, fabrication details, assembly drawings, P&ID, and Bill of Material drawings.
Review fabrication drawings to ensure they meet client specifications.
Issue final drawings/document packages to workshops or clients as instructed.
Prepare Installation and Operation Manuals (IOM) and submit to client for review and approval.
Complete mechanical design and required mechanical analysis.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience in the particular product line and industry common to the product.
Expert experience in designing pressure vessels and heat exchangers per ASME Code (Section VIII Divisions 1 and 2) and HEI Standards is required.
Experience in performing finite element analysis (FEA) to the requirements of ASME code is a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency in drafting using AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Registered as a Professional Engineer is preferred.
Certification in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or inventor design software is a plus.
Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 annually DOE
