Technical Sales Professional (Stormwater Products)
Our client, a national construction products manufacturer, is seeking a technical sales professional to join their growing team. The territory is primarily focused in the Richmond metropolitan area.
Primary Responsibilities- Employ technical skills to conduct presentations, develop project specifications and grow project pipeline.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with accounts including consulting engineering firms, regulatory agencies, contractors, developers and landscape architects.
- Manage pipeline using CRM to measure project specific performance. Update continuously to ensure information is timely, accurate and complete.
- Provide technical and marketing assistance to other team members as needed.
- Continuously improve technical expertise and knowledge of product line, competitive products and civil engineering infrastructure trends.
- Acquire and continuously improve consultative marketing and transactional selling skills.
- Account ownership own the client relationship and leverage internal support network to deliver solutions.
- Attend local engineering functions such as ASCE meetings and participate at local tradeshows. Other duties as assigned.
- BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Ability to understand the engineer of record, site owner and contractors needs and guide them to the appropriate product solution for each stormwater project.
- Ability to communicate technical information, concepts and applications very effectively using consultative marketing skills.
