Inside Sales Representative
The Inside Sales Representative maintains and grows relationships with current and potential customers by managing the full sales support cycle from inquiry to order fulfillment. This role prepares quotes, processes purchase orders, maintains accurate product and pricing data, and provides customers with product information and documentation. Working under general supervision, the Inside Sales Representative independently prioritizes tasks, resolves customer issues, and supports the development of new customer accounts while consistently representing the company in a professional manner. Responsibilities
Present and sell company products to current and potential customers through inbound and outbound interactions. Establish new customer accounts and gather complete customer profile information for accurate setup and ongoing support. Prepare detailed quotes, send them to customers, and maintain organized quote files and records. Process customer purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all details are correctly entered. Review purchase orders to confirm pricing, quantities, terms, and other requirements before processing. Provide drawings and other forms of product media or documentation to assist customers in understanding products and solutions. Develop and maintain strong product knowledge to effectively support customers and provide accurate information. Generate new prices using established pricing tools and methods, ensuring consistency with company guidelines. Enter new product part numbers, pricing, and delivery details into the system to keep product and customer data current. Handle inbound calls and perform order entry and data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Follow up with customers on quotes, orders, and open issues to ensure satisfaction and timely resolution. Resolve customer complaints and concerns by coordinating with cross-functional departments as needed. Coordinate customer requirements with other departments, such as operations, production, or logistics, to ensure on-time delivery and service. Maintain positive, professional customer relationships and support the development of new customer accounts. Customarily and regularly exercise independent discretion and judgment on matters of significance related to sales support and customer service. Perform other duties as assigned to support the sales team and overall business objectives. Essential Skills
Purchase order experience and demonstrated ability to review and process customer purchase orders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, with good working knowledge of core functions. Experience with inbound calls, order entry, and data entry in a sales or customer service environment. Knowledge of customer service processes and operational methods related to quoting, order processing, and follow-up. Sales experience supporting customers through quoting, pricing, and order management. Strong oral and written communication skills for clear and professional interaction with customers and internal teams. Ability to handle multiple job functions simultaneously and manage competing priorities. Ability to work independently under general supervision and establish priorities with minimal guidance. Good organizational skills to manage quotes, orders, customer information, and documentation effectively. Professional demeanor and ability to maintain a positive company image in all customer interactions. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. Self-motivation and willingness to learn and expand knowledge of products, systems, and processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Approximately 23 years of experience in an inside sales, sales support, or customer service role involving purchase orders and order processing. Experience with order processing systems or ERP/CRM tools used for order entry and customer management. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance in a sales or service environment. Experience coordinating with cross-functional departments to meet customer requirements. Track record of delivering accurate data entry and maintaining detailed records. Interest in long-term career growth and financial advancement through performance-based incentives. Work Environment
The position is based in a campus-style facility in Glendale with an open, pit-style office environment that supports collaboration and communication. The role follows a typical office-based schedule using standard business technologies, including Microsoft Office and order processing systems. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
