The posted compensation range of $27.25 - $38.49 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As a Medical Assistant, you'll be an essential part of our health care team, working closely with providers and other colleagues to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for our patients. Your kindness and expertise will shine through as you perform a variety of back office and patient-related tasks, contributing to smooth workflow within the clinic.
What You'll Do:
- Provide Direct Patient Care: You'll use your skills within your Medical Assistant Certified (MAC) scope of practice to perform various patient care procedures. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Administering injections
- Performing EKGs
- Assisting with ear lavages
- Conducting blood draws
- Measuring vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and temperature)
- Manage Patient Flow: You'll help manage patient appointments and clinic flow, including preparing for visits, assisting during examinations, and handling post-visit duties.
- Support Communication & Coordination: You'll keep providers informed of any schedule changes that might impact patient visits, assist with front office activities, help with various scheduling tasks, and report test results as directed by the provider.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School diplomas or GED required.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program required or validation of equivalent military training (i.e. Hospital Corpsman)
- 6 months of Customer Experience required.
- Active Washington State Medical Assistant Certified licensure required. May hold Interim MA-C with a probationary period to obtain permanent MA-C licensure within 6 months of hire or before the expiration of the Interim certification.
- BLS-RQI required
Preferred
- Knowledge of insurance concepts preferred.
- One year Medical Assistant Certified experience preferred.
