Position Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support daily sales operations and deliver exceptional service to customers and internal teams. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, assisting with product inquiries, order processing, pricing, and coordination with the outside sales team. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and order status • Process incoming orders via phone, email, and system entry with a high level of accuracy • Check inventory levels, confirm stock availability, and communicate shipping timelines • Prepare quotes and ensure orders are entered according to customer specifications • Support outside sales representatives by sourcing products, preparing pricing, and coordinating follow-up • Maintain accurate customer and order records within company systems • Resolve customer issues, discrepancies, or concerns in a professional and timely manner • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment • Provide product information and recommend solutions to meet customer needs • Assist with sales reporting, tracking orders, and general administrative support • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to support repeat business and customer satisfaction
Qualifications • Prior experience in inside sales, customer service, order entry, or sales support, ideally in electrical, construction, distribution, or industrial environments • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced setting • Detail-oriented with strong data entry accuracy and problem-solving skills • Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment • Comfortable using computers, order management systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) • Positive attitude with a strong customer-first mindset • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new products and processes • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education or industry training is a plus Preferred (Nice to Have) • Experience in electrical supply, industrial distribution, or related technical product environment • Familiarity with quoting systems or ERP software • Understanding of basic electrical products or terminology Work Environment • In-office role with regular in-person attendance required • Collaborative team environment supporting sales, warehouse, and operations Shift Time/Overtime: Normal in-person business hours Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
