Posting Specifics

  • Entry Rate: $38.77+ (based on experience)

  • Shift Details: Full‑time, 36 hours per week; Three 12‑hour shifts Wednesday - Friday 7:30a - 8p

  • Sign-on Bonus: up to $5,000 for eligible applicants

Minimum Qualifications

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) cross-trained in MRI
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • IV Competency within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 1-2 years of MRI technologist experience 
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Essential Functions

  • Maintain ARRT/modality competency across clinical and technical duties
  • Verify patient identity and orders; prepare patients for exams
  • Perform MRI exams per protocol; review images for quality and accuracy
  • Follow MRI safety standards and infection control practices
  • Ensure timely exam completion without compromising care
  • Educate and support patients; maintain comfort and address concerns
  • Operate imaging equipment and systems effectively
  • Accurately document procedures, patient information, and any reactions
  • Support students/techs and follow protocols for compliance, coding, and QC

Physical Requirements

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$38.77 - $59.82
