About
Perform welding operations on automatic electric arc welding machine to weld limited variety of standard and repetitive work. Weld quality controlled by others. May change fixtures, adjust and regulate machine in accordance with instructions or approval check of the Supervisor.
*REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, AND BASIC SKILL LEVELS:*
* High School Education.
* Some knowledge of welding techniques.
* Ability to use rule, square, protractor, templates, gauges, etc.
*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Perform welding operations on automatic electric arc welding machines.
* Quality is monitored by someone with more experience or supervisor.
* Under close supervision and check.
* Work is subject to procedures relating to your department.
* Other duties as directed or instructed by direct supervisor.
*ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS*
* Assume responsibility for quality workmanship and dimensional accuracy.
* Effectively work with Tool Makers.
* Support and work with all other departments.
* Effectively communication with other departments regarding requirements from those departments.
* Support the Company’s Quality Policy by understanding & following the policies, procedures as they apply to your job & department.
* Support the company by performing other duties as directed by the Robotic Welding Leadman that do not infringe on the ISO requirements.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools or controls.
* The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach above shoulders and talk or hear.
* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
*PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT*
* Protective footwear must be worn. Safety shoes must have toe protection and metatarsal guards that meet the ANSI Z41 –1991 standard.
* Safety glasses must be worn at all times in all shop areas this includes employees who need corrective lenses.
* Various tasks may require an employee to wear additional personal protective equipment such as gloves, aprons, hearing protection, face shields or any other equipment required to help you safely perform your job.

*MATHEMATICAL SKILLS*
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to compute an average, a range and a trend.
