Transportation Specialist

General activities:  

• Support internal business units in setting up transportation lanes  

• Review, analyze, and optimize existing transportation lanes  

• Customer transportation reporting  

• Work exception reporting, research and resolve mis-matches to determine root cause/corrective action.  

• Work cross-functionally to develop/implement shipping processes  

• Monitor, record, analyze and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations related to cost and performance optimization.  

• Participate in EMEA wide transportation projects and standard and capability definition.  

  Business and relationship management :  

• Buildi ng strong relationships with internal stakeholders .  

• Support / lead on QBR’s with business segments .  

• Review and act to ensure high transportation service levels.  

• Review and align on transit days settings .  

• Support on major business service disruptions and escalations.  

Capability building:  

• Develop , maintain and improve training material for internal stakeholders.  

• Develop, maintain and improve capability portfolio.  

• Support on quotes and RFQ’s.  

• Translate business needs into transportation requirements.  

  Profile:  

• Stress reliable  

• Strong communication skills in English, German or other languages are a plus  

• Customer and service oriented  

• Experience of Oracle in regards to date manageme nt (RDD, SSD etc.)  

• Understanding of parcel, air, road and ocean freight  

• Solution-oriented  

• Flexible attitude (no 9 - 5 mentality)  

• 4 year degree and 5 years of experience in Transportation / Freight Forwarding
