We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our distribution center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is vital for the efficient movement of materials within our facility, supporting our extensive logistics network. You will operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory, ensuring smooth operations from receiving to shipping. The ideal candidate possesses excellent operational skills, a strong safety record, and a commitment to productivity. Your expertise will be key to maintaining our high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with precision.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on forklifts; report issues.
- Accurately track and record inventory movements.
- Stack and organize materials in designated locations, optimizing space utilization.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to work shifts, including occasional overtime.
