Overview
Solutions engineer at Paramark.com — hybrid full-time role in San Francisco, CA (3 days in person). Paramark is building a system of record to help marketers optimize spend across channels and programs, with a focus on measurement and experimentation. We are a young company founded in 2023, growing with a strong traction and a vision to help mid-market customers. Responsibilities
You will be the first member of a new team. You’ll report to Pete (CTO) and work closely with the Growth advisory team and the Product engineering team. Analyze customers’ marketing data and produce the reports that are a core part of our offering. Assess model outputs by applying understanding of customers and their marketing spend to judge reasonableness; learn during onboarding if you lack marketing experience. Own end-to-end operation of data workflows: data collection, cleaning, training ML models, assessing model fit, and communicating findings to the team. We will teach you how. Balance quality and speed in analyses; communicate tradeoffs openly and be receptive to feedback. Handle sensitive customer data with a focus on quality and security. Collaborate with the product engineering and growth advisory teams to share feedback and help prioritize roadmap items. Prototype automation: script tools to improve efficiency and experiment with AI and automation, sharing results with the product engineering team. Qualifications
2+ years of experience with Python and SQL; comfortable writing clean Python code and SQL with outer joins, aggregations, inline views, and type conversions. Experience working with real-world data and ability to produce high-quality code in the face of data quality issues and poorly documented schemas. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality results in complex situations. Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex technical issues simply and keep teammates updated. Ability to handle ambiguity and take responsibility for delivery. Willingness to learn marketing, data science, and machine learning; interest in helping customers achieve positive outcomes. Benefits and culture
