Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive materials, performing diagnostic imaging procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process. Duties
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols
- Operate specialized imaging equipment to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures
- Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while ensuring their comfort and safety
- Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions or discomfort, responding promptly as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, doses administered, and patient information
- Follow strict radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary exposure
- Perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment and report any malfunctions or irregularities
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret results and provide comprehensive patient care
Qualifications
- Certification or licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from an accredited program
- Proven knowledge of medical terminology relevant to nuclear medicine procedures
- Strong attention to detail and excellent patient communication skills
- Ability to operate complex imaging equipment safely and effectively
- Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred but not required
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards and adhering to regulatory guidelines
- Ability to work well within a team environment while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $46.46 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
