Schedule Variable shifts: 8 hour shifts available during days, evenings, or nights. Job Description Under the direction of the laboratory manager, the Medical Technologist is responsible for performing laboratory tests, conducting quality control procedures, and communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients. ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of laboratory tests across different disciplines including chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology. Maintain quality control and accurate reporting procedures. Communicate test results and laboratory findings with clinical staff and patients. Provide direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants and work independently. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureBachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field. Board eligible by NCA or ASCP; board certification must be completed within one year of employment. 1-3 years of related or progressively responsible experience or formal student internship in a laboratory setting. Certification at MT by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by National Accrediting Agency (NCA) within one year of employment.
