IT DIRECTOR - APPLICATIONS

We are searching for an IT Director of Applications for an industry-leading organization in the Greater Nashville area. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field
  • 7 years' experience in Application Development
  • 4+ years of management experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with engineering in a leadership capacity.
  • Identify standards of code for "cross-pollination to other projects.
  • Provide support and oversight for the development of proposals and prototypes.
  • Manage software development life cycle processes.
  • Work closely with operation teams to ensure sound operation and delivery of service.
  • Determine project assignments for development managers
  • Work directly with clients to integrate and support products.
  • Work with the leadership team to plan future R&D projects.
  • Investigate new technologies, creating prototypes for business teams.
  • Work with Account Managers and Business team on responses to client RFP's and integration requests.
  • Determine new features with appropriate and effective design.
  • Work with direct reports to build technical strategy and roadmaps
  • Lead the discussion to deliver estimates for engineering efforts.
  • Determine/create an effective structure and organization.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and demands
  • Assess applicability of tools/software for development projects.
  • Research solutions to bugs and other software performance issues.
