Position Overview We are looking for a detail‑oriented Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician to support food safety and quality programs in our manufacturing facility. This position monitors GMPs, HACCP, and regulatory compliance, performs product testing and inspections, and ensures that all products meet company and customer standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform daily food safety and quality checks on raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods.
Monitor and enforce compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company policies on the production floor.
Conduct swabbing, environmental monitoring, allergen testing, and product sampling as required.
Verify HACCP, CCP, and prerequisite program compliance, documenting results accurately.
Inspect packaging, labeling, weights, and coding for accuracy.
Support traceability, mock recalls, and product hold/release programs.
Assist with non‑conformance investigations and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and timely completion of all quality and food safety records.
Collaborate with production, sanitation, and maintenance teams to resolve quality or food safety issues.
Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
1–2 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or food manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations (FDA, USDA).
Familiarity with SQF, BRC, or other GFSI certification programs preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
