Position We are seeking a
Technical Sales Manager
focused on servicing Pan India with a focus on South Indian clients. The chosen candidate will be responsible for driving business development, managing sales, and fostering strong relationships with customers in the production of commercial vehicles, earth moving machines and railway sector. This role involves promoting the clients product, offering custom solutions to solve their clients various troubles.
Knowledge of industrial products, particularly transmissions, axles for agricultural equipment, earth moving machines and construction equipment railways, and other components for industrial automation.
Candidates' main responsibilities
Business Development:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in India, expansion depending on the sales opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with potential customers (Earth moving machines OEMs).
Sales Execution:
Drive sales of Transmissions, Axles to OEMs specializing in Earth Moving Machines and Railways with a defined sales matrix and expectation.
Market Research and Strategy:
Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitors in the industry. Provide feedback to the company on technology trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to enhance offerings.
Technical Support and Consultation:
Offer technical guidance and support to customers during the pre‑sales and post‑sales process. Conduct product demonstrations and training for customers, highlighting the technical advantages of the company's Transmissions, Driveline Components, and Gearboxes technologies.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
Bachelors degree in industrial engineering. A post‑graduate qualification or MBA in Business Development.
Experience:
Above 10 years of experience in sales, preferably in commercial vehicles sector.
Knowledge and familiarity with Transmissions, Driveline Components, and Gearboxes for earth moving machines and railways; knowledge of axles and Transmissions for agricultural equipment, earth moving machines and construction equipment, and/or railway transmission and prior experience in selling these systems.
Technical Specifications:
Familiarity with the technical specifications of the transmission to support the sale. Knowledge of the relevant industrial market, including key competitors, technological trends, and customer needs. Technically competent with the ability to manage consultative, engineering‑driven sales cycles.
