Overview This position requires, at minimum, a current and active Secret security clearance. Military veterans are highly encouraged to apply. A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable agencies to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network the Department of Defense needs. As a network engineer on our team, you’ll help the DoD client evolve remote access networks to support national security systems (NSS). You’ll work with SMEs and Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) engineers to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You’ll then plan the system design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you’ll put your hardware and software talents to good use. This is your chance to grow your skills in securing data-in-transit (DIT) and data-at-rest (DAR) for CSfC solutions while continuing to grow your network engineering experience. Join us as we help protect secure mobile infrastructure solutions. You’ll apply your expertise in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing, and forwarding as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the DoD evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies. Responsibilities Join us in supporting the evolution of DoD remote access networks to meet national security requirements. Plan the system design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components; resolve interoperability issues across platforms; assist in the acquisition of hardware; and grow expertise in securing data-in-transit and data-at-rest for CSfC solutions while expanding network engineering experience. Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Experience engineering, architecting, or designing complex DoD network systems that include Aruba or Cisco network components Experience configuring and troubleshooting SSL or IPSec VPNs Knowledge of routing protocols, including RIP, EIGRP, MPLS, BGP, and OSPF Knowledge of PKI implementation, including X.509 Certificates and Certificate authorities Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in the DoD in lieu of a degree PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience coordinating with the commercial mobile industry to assess mobile technologies for the U.S. government Experience implementing certificate-based encryption on network devices Experience configuring and deploying Type-1 encryption devices Knowledge of CSfC capability packages CCNP or equivalent certification Grow With Us Your growth matters to us—that’s why we offer a variety of ways for you to develop your career.
