Job Title: Junior Aviation Operations Business Analyst I -Data & Performance Optimization Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Collect, validate, and analyze operational data from multiple airport functions. Monitor and track operational KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics. Support root cause analysis efforts related to operational delays, service disruptions, and process inefficiencies. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, scorecards, and management summaries. Analyze trends related to aircraft turnaround times, cargo processing efficiency, and service delivery performance. Assist with data quality reviews and reporting accuracy validation. Document business processes, reporting logic, and operational workflows. Collaborate with airport operations, logistics, and performance management teams to support business initiatives. Support operational improvement projects through data-driven recommendations and analysis. Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide reporting support to leadership teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Aviation Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline. 0-2 years of professional experience, including internships, co-op programs, or academic project experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, Reporting, and Data Analysis. Basic understanding of SQL and data querying concepts. Experience creating reports, presentations, and business documentation using Microsoft Office tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to aviation, airline operations, logistics, supply chain, or transportation industries. Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools. Familiarity with KPI reporting, operational analytics, and performance measurement. Experience supporting business process improvement initiatives. Knowledge of data visualization and dashboard development concepts.
