Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled and patient-centered CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within our Healthcare & Medical industry organization. As a CT Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting physicians and clinical teams by performing high-quality CT imaging studies that assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment. Working in a fast-paced hospital environment, you will operate CT scanners, follow established imaging protocols, and ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout the imaging process. In this role, you will prepare patients for CT procedures by verifying patient identity, reviewing medical history and physician orders, explaining the procedure, and positioning patients appropriately. You will select appropriate technical factors, adjust scanner parameters based on patient size and clinical indication, and perform contrast and non-contrast CT studies in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards. You will monitor patients during and after contrast administration, recognizing and responding promptly to any adverse reactions or changes in patient condition. The CT Technologist will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team to ensure timely completion of studies and accurate documentation. You will review images for diagnostic quality, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and escalate technical problems when necessary. You will maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record and PACS, follow radiation safety principles (ALARA), and adhere to infection prevention and patient privacy policies at all times.
