Permanent whole time post UCC wishes to appoint an experienced individual to the role of Creative Specialist (University Photographer). The University Photographer will join a small, dynamic media team within the IT Services department, working in close partnership with the Offices of Media & Communications and Marketing & Brand Impact. This role is central to shaping the visual identity of the university, capturing compelling imagery that reflects its people, research, culture, and strategic priorities. A key focus of the role is the planning, delivery, and management of photography for high-profile university events, including ceremonies, VIP visits, public engagements, and major institutional announcements. The postholder will also take responsibility for the organisation, maintenance, and strategic development of the university's photographic archive using the new Canto digital asset management platform. This is an on-campus based position and is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys working with a wide range of people, and can balance creative vision with operational discipline. Appointment may be made on the Admin V Salary Scale: €51,820 - €63,555 (Scale B) / €49,570 - €60,492 (Scale A). Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
