Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Acheteur(se) stratégique pour piloter les activités d’approvisionnement et développer des partenariats solides avec les fournisseurs pour notre usine de St‑Léonard. Ce rôle combine des responsabilités opérationnelles et stratégiques, dans un environnement manufacturier dynamique et en constante évolution.
Responsabilités principales
- Diriger des initiatives d’approvisionnement stratégique alignées sur le coût, la qualité et la continuité d’approvisionnement
- Gérer les activités d’achats et soutenir les besoins opérationnels quotidiens
- Développer et maintenir des relations solides avec les fournisseurs et mener les négociations commerciales
- Identifier et réaliser des opportunités d’optimisation des coûts et d’amélioration continue
- Collaborer avec les équipes Opérations, Ingénierie, Qualité, Planification et Finance
- Évaluer la performance des fournisseurs à l’aide d’indicateurs clés (KPI)
- Analyser les conditions du marché et les inducteurs de coûts pour orienter les décisions
- Identifier et mitiger les risques d’approvisionnement
Profil recherché
- Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en approvisionnement ou sourcing stratégique en milieu manufacturier
- Expérience en gestion et développement de relations fournisseurs
- Bonne compréhension des opérations de chaîne d’approvisionnement et des processus manufacturiers
- Expérience dans des projets interfonctionnels
- Maîtrise des systèmes ERP, Excel et analyse de données
- Solide sens des affaires, capacité d’influence et compétences en négociation
- Maitrise du français et de l’anglais à l’oral et écrit (l’anglais est requis en raison de nos nombreuses activités à travers le Canada et les États-Unis)
Atouts :
- Expérience en emballage ou plastiques
- Certification professionnelle (SCMP, CPSM, APICS)

About the role
Balcan Innovations is seeking a Strategic Buyer to lead sourcing activities and develop strong supplier partnerships for its St‑Leonard plant. This role combines operational procurement responsibilities with strategic sourcing initiatives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with cost, quality, and supply continuity
- Manage procurement activities and support day‑to‑day purchasing needs
- Build strong supplier relationships and lead negotiations
- Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Finance teams
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and reviews
- Analyze market trends and cost drivers to support decision‑making
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing in manufacturing
- Strong experience in supplier relationship management and negotiations
- Solid understanding of supply chain and manufacturing operations
- Experience with cross‑functional initiatives
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and analytics
- Strong business acumen and influencing skills
- Fluent with spoken and written English and French. (English is required due to our many activities across Canada and the United States).
Assets:
- Experience in packaging or plastics
- Professional certifications (SCMP, CPSM, APICS)
