Certified School Nurse Opportunity Step into a meaningful contract opportunity working with students as a dedicated Registered Nurse. In this school-based position, you’ll play an integral role in supporting health and educational outcomes across the academic year, working full-time hours between 8/10/26 and 5/21/27. Expect a dynamic work environment close to Plainfield, IL, with a focus on in-person engagement, including interviews. Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active and unrestricted RN license in Illinois Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare settings Skilled in medical assessments, emergency care, and medication administration Familiarity with IEP and 504 Plan processes Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a busy health office Excellent communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding school health policies
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the school health office, providing care for illness and injury Conduct thorough medical reviews and documentation for student records Collaborate in meetings relating to IEPs and 504 plans, contributing essential health insights Coordinate with staff and families to ensure students health needs are addressed Lead health initiatives and promote wellness within the school community Maintain and update health records in compliance with regulations
