The role Are you passionate about using data to transform lives? At Oviva, we place our patients first. We are looking for a data-driven leader to join our
Business Intelligence
team and help us drive the future of personalized healthcare in the UK.
As our
Head of UK Business Intelligence , you will be the bridge between complex data and real-world impact. You’ll lead a talented team of analysts, working closely with the NHS and our internal clinical and operations teams to ensure every decision we make is backed by high-quality insights.
Key Responsibilities
Empower our teams:
You’ll manage and mentor a team of 3-4 analysts, helping them reach their full potential while fostering a culture of excellence.
Strategize & Collaborate:
You will partner with senior stakeholders—including our UK Managing Director and Clinical Directors—to set the regional data strategy.
Drive Innovation:
From designing high-quality dashboards to leading machine learning projects in Python, you’ll ensure our reporting is both accurate and forward-thinking.
Make it happen:
You will lead transformation projects and set new standards for self-service data practices, making it easier for everyone at Oviva to understand and use data.
About You
Expertise:
You have at least 8 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, with 4-6 years specifically in people management.
Technical Skill:
You are comfortable using complex SQL to solve hard problems and have experience with various visualization tools like
Tableau, Power BI, or Looker .
Pragmatism:
You have a result-driven mindset and the ability to find clarity within imperfect data sets.
Communication:
You are fluent in English and excellent at managing relationships with senior leadership.
Education:
A degree in a mathematical subject or equivalent proven experience in data analytics.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with
Python
or working within a
Google Cloud/BigQuery
environment.
A background in providing self-service reporting models.
Experience with
dbt
and a clear understanding of the models required for scale.
